Halloween!
Every Halloween we do this great thing (I read this in a magazine) to keep our son from over indulging. We let him eat a little of the candy from trick or treating and then we tell him he must place the rest in a pumpkin we have on the front porch. We tell him that at night the “Halloween Witch” comes and fills the pumpkin with toys. He just loves it and it saves his teeth for another year!

"Make dinner more fun for your kids."
I create a fun face made of dinner foods on my kids plates. I use spaghetti for the hair, grapes for the eyes, a strawberry for the nose and peas for the mouth. My kids love it and they eat their dinner! When I include fruit in the meal, they feel as if they are getting a a dessert.

"My daughter has 6 little teeth."
My husband and I brush them for her (and have fun doing it!), and then let her brush them herself. When she finishes, we let her drink out of a special cup...now she looks forward to brushing her teeth!! It's all positive reinforcement..."

Love Broccoli
"My son, who is one, has come to love broccoli. I cut it up into small pieces, and present it as a treat. Now he's so fond of it, we sometimes don't serve it until the end of dinner!!"
-- Kim, NJ
"Create your own sauna."
"When my two year has a stuffy nose or a croupy cough, I create our very own sauna at home by running a very hot shower with the door closed. For a wonderful menthol vapor add a few stems of dried eucalyptus plant, smells great and it's all natural."
-- Tia, NY
Extra change of clothes
"Always take an extra change of clothes with you (for the baby, of course) no matter how short the trip may be!"
--Alpa, NY
