Tips from Moms and Dads like you
My daughter loves to chew on all her toys, especially the TAGS!!
My 5-month-old daughter loves to chew on all her toys, especially the TAGS!! For a fun treat, go to Taggies.com. They have sewn ribbon loops onto the edges of a piece of soft fabric, making textured "tags." 16 tags on one toy is such a treat!! They will love it!
--Jodie, MI
Make sure your seatbelt is tight!
Please make sure your seatbelts are tight! If it is too loose, it is no better than having your child sitting on an adult seat. And every seat isn’t good in every car. If you are having trouble getting it tight, return the seat and try another brand. Your child’s life depends on it!
--Parks, NJ
Be Creative
Be creative with the food you want your children to eat! Liven up toast and sandwiches by using cookie cutters to make fun shapes!
--Heather, AZ
Low-Fat Yogurt
When my two-year-old son has an upset stomach, I always give him low-fat yogurt. This calms his stomach and controls his diarrhea. He loves it. You must try this!
-- Cathy, SC
Clean-Up Time
Since the time our son started playing we have incorporated clean-up time into play time. We make it into something that is fun, and this is a great help with messy lego’s.
-- Lidia, NY
The Cleaning Game
My 7-year-old hates to clean up her room. So I've started this great routine. I go into my room, while she's in hers -- then we have a race to see who can clean up their room faster. Of course, she usually wins! And, the only prop is an egg-timer!
-- Nicole, FL
"Make baths more fun."
My son hated his daily bath, so I started making up funny songs while he was in the bath. Soon, he joined in and now we sing silly, made-up songs in the bath and he loves it!
-- Sam, AZ
Extra Pacifiers
My six month old sleeps with her pacifier. In the night when it falls and she wakes up, she sometimes can't find it and starts crying. Now I put several pacifiers aroung her in her crib, and in the morning she usually wakes up with another pacifier!
-- Karen, NY
